What equipment is needed for enterprises producing dimethyl sulfate

Enterprises producing dimethyl sulfate require the following key equipment, which can be divided into three categories based on the production process: core reaction equipment, auxiliary treatment equipment, and safety monitoring equipment:

1、 Core reaction equipment
 Esterification reaction tower
 For the esterification reaction of sulfur trioxide and dimethyl ether, a tower body made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as stainless steel lined with lead or special alloys) is required, with a feed inlet connected to the liquid material source at the top and a discharge pipeline at the bottom.
 Degassing tower and distillation tower
 The degassing tower is used to remove reaction by-products, while the distillation tower separates and purifies the products. The two need to be connected to the reaction tower through pipelines to achieve continuous production.
 Absorption tower
 The exhaust gas generated by the degassing tower is treated by absorbing unreacted gases through a spray system, usually using a packed tower structure (such as a tower body with a diameter of 3500mm and a height of 8900mm).
 2、 Auxiliary processing equipment
 Raw material pretreatment system
 Crushing and screening equipment (such as cone crushers and BT-1 vibrating screens) are used for controlling the particle size of raw materials.
 Drying and filtering devices (such as a three-stage filtration isolation system) ensure that the raw materials are free of impurities.
 Residue processing equipment
 Including drug feeding devices (such as peristaltic pumps, sealed boxes) and chemical treatment systems, used for residue neutralization and safe disposal.
 Storage and transportation equipment
 Acid resistant storage tanks (such as steel drums or tank trucks) are used to store finished products.
 Acid resistant pumps (such as KH310/32 type) transport corrosive media.
 3、 Safety monitoring equipment
 Gas detector
 Online dimethyl sulfate analyzer (such as GCT-GAS-TA type), equipped with pre-treatment module (dust removal, water vapor removal), with a detection range of 0-10000 ppm.
 Automated control system
 PLC controls reaction parameters (temperature, pressure) and integrates alarm functions to ensure production safety.
 4、 Other supporting equipment
 Heating and cooling device: electric heater (temperature resistance above 300 ℃) and coil cooler (specification 150mm × 1800mm).
 Exhaust gas treatment system: electrostatic precipitator (such as four electric field grid plate) and bag filter, in compliance with environmental requirements.

The above equipment needs to be selected and combined according to production scale (such as annual production of 60000 tons) and process route (such as sulfur based sulfuric acid co production).
